Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assign teams and vehicles to flight activity (allocation) and maintain contact with teams via phone to manage their movements and completion of flights servicing against the daily plan and to events on the airport.
- Plan and manage the rosters for the transport teams (day and night).
- Plan the teams for the daytime (airside food uplifts) and the flights and coverage required.
- Carry out a handover to the daytime (bond) team leader with relevant information including designated vehicles for preloading and the flights required to be on them.
- Performance monitor team members daily and escalate concerns to Duty Manager.
- Plan and manage the team’s output to ensure delivery of business, section and customer targets.
- Ensure shift briefings, capture of key information and display/report relevant KPI’s.
- Maintain legal/compliance across health and safety, food safety, Department for Transport (DfT), security, gateOPEX (in-house operational excellence programme).
- Plan and arrange vehicle maintenance/repair of defects as required to ensure fleet availability.
- Monitor flight information screens and local email account during the shift and respond to events.
- Conduct DfT checking as required (vehicles, food bags equipment) etc.
- Ability to cover a 7-day operation.
Requirements of the Team Leader (Nights):
- Previous experience in a supervisory role leading teams.
- Valid clean HGV CAT C Driving Licence (up to 3 points will be considered) - essential.
- Digital Tachograph knowledge and possession of a digital tachograph card - essential.
- Driver CPC qualification - essential.
- Previous HGV experience desirable, Airport Airside Driving would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act.
