We are currently looking to recruit Airside Team Leaders to join our team based in West Drayton, Stockley Park. Reporting to the Manager Transport you will manage, motivate, develop and coach the Transport Teams, and be accountable for the delivery of Transport Productivity and Efficiency improvements, via the championing of continuous improvements and safe operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the team’s output to ensure delivery of business, section and customer targets.
- Carry out performance monitoring of team members on a daily basis and escalate concerns to Airside Section Manager and Transport Managers.
- Establish and develop constructive relationships with airside business partners and source appropriate levels of engagement to promote best practice.
- Oversee and manage performance management, productivity and compliance of the Service Delivery teams whilst airside, including performance managing poor performers and at risk behaviours in line with company procedures.
- Oversee development, maintenance and implementation of Hazard Management Systems, Airside Audits, Total Quality management and training and development of all Airside Teams, including drivers and loaders.
- Resolve conflict/provide solutions by exercising high levels of influencing, negotiation and communication skills.
- Create a positive working environment.
- Maintain legal/compliance across health and safety, food safety, Department for Transport (DfT), security, conduct SQOR audits and manage results, gateOPEX (in-house operational excellence programme).
- Follow company, process and section procedures to ensure safe work practice, improvements in efficiency and contractor compliance is achieved; implement airside logistics contingency procedures as required.
- Instigate and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deputise for Airside Section Manager when required.
- Respond to Airside incidents and accidents and manage the response to an Airside Emergency; including emergency recovery procedures.
- Complete Daily Shift Reports at the end of shifts, ensuring competent and concise handover to colleagues.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Airside operational experience with good understanding of Health & Safety Compliance and Aviation and BAA regulations, Standards and procedures.
- Proven Managerial experience, managing satellite teams.
- Demonstrable experience of taking accountability.
- Demonstrable experience of working within a similar environment (operational/catering).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proven Team leadership ability with excellent conflict resolution and critical thinking skills.
Education:
- Good Education preferred and/or relevant work experience.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Basic to intermediate IT skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Numerate and literate, ability to interface with senior management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Concise and professional in delivery.
