Within Digital & Technology, we have a strong track record of helping clients maximise the value of their technology, data and AI investments. Our teams deliver adaptive digital strategies, data operating models, governance frameworks, data management capabilities, analytics solutions, AI and GenAI roadmaps, and the leadership required to embed new ways of working. As our Digital & Technology practice continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Principal Consultant with deep data expertise to help shape our data capability, lead major transformation programmes, and act as a trusted advisor across our most strategically important client relationships.

The opportunity As a Principal at Gate One, you will take a defining leadership role in shaping and delivering our data‑driven transformation work. You will bring recognised expertise across data governance, data management or data & analytics, and set the benchmark for exceptional consulting in this space. You will shape major programmes, guide senior stakeholders, elevate our propositions and capabilities, and contribute to the continued expansion of our Digital & Technology practice. You will also play a pivotal role in developing colleagues and strengthening the sophistication and impact of our work across the market.

Specifically, you will:

  • Lead high value client engagements
  • Lead multiple complex data programmes end‑to‑end, acting as a trusted advisor to senior and executive stakeholders.
  • Shape data strategies, operating models, governance frameworks and analytics‑led transformation, ensuring clarity, direction and high‑quality delivery.
  • Guide blended teams, providing leadership, coaching and quality assurance across all aspects of delivery.

Drive business development and account growth

  • Shape and convert new opportunities, including leading major bids and senior level business development meetings.
  • Build relationships across senior client stakeholder groups, expanding Gate One’s footprint and influence.
  • Lead or co‑lead account strategies and sector development priorities.

Build and scale our Data capability

  • Develop and refine Gate One’s data propositions, thought leadership and go‑to‑market approach.
  • Play a key role in hiring, developing and mentoring talent, helping to build a high‑performing data community.
  • Lead or contribute to initiatives that advance the maturity and visibility of our Digital & Technology practice.

About You You must have significant experience gained within management consulting firms (10+ years). We are not able to consider candidates whose data experience sits solely within industry roles. You will also bring:

  • Deep expertise in one or more of data governance, data management, or data & analytics.
  • A strong track record of leading complex data engagements and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • A proven record of credible business development, including originating, shaping and converting opportunities, leading bids/proposals, and contributing to material account growth.
  • Experience leading blended teams and assuring delivery quality across programmes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build trusted relationships quickly.

  • Commitment to hybrid working and the ability to travel to Havas Village, King’s Cross or client sites as required.
