The opportunity

As a Principal at Gate One, you will operate as a senior leader across client delivery, business development and firm building.

You will lead large, complex change‑led transformation programmes within Life Sciences organisations – for example across pharmaceuticals, biotech, or medical devices – helping clients navigate regulatory, operational and cultural complexity while embedding lasting change.

You will build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, act as a strategic advisor within accounts, and play a leading role in shaping new opportunities and growing Gate One’s presence within the Life Sciences sector.

Alongside client work, you will contribute to the development of Gate One’s change capability, mentor and develop consultants, and take ownership of key initiatives that support the growth of the firm.

About you

You will have around 10 years’ experience working within management consulting environments and will already be operating at Senior Manager or Principal level, with a proven track record of leading complex transformation engagements.

You will also bring

  • Significant experience within the Life Sciences sector, with a strong understanding of its regulatory, operational and organisational complexity.
  • A track record of leading large, high‑value engagements and managing senior client relationships.
  • Strong experience in business development, including shaping opportunities, leading bids and contributing to account growth.
  • Experience leading and developing teams of consultants, including coaching and mentoring more junior colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to build trust and influence at senior levels.
