Gascare has been keeping homes and businesses warm for over 50 years. Based in Totton, near Southampton, we provide central heating, boiler and air conditioning services across Hampshire, Dorset and the surrounding areas. Our reputation has been built on honest advice, high‑quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. Whether we're carrying out an annual boiler service, diagnosing a breakdown, installing a new heating system or fitting air conditioning, we take pride in doing the job properly and looking after our customers.
This is a full‑time, field‑based role working from our Totton office. You will be responsible for servicing, repairing and installing domestic gas appliances and central heating systems. The role involves fault finding, diagnosing heating system issues, carrying out repairs and installations to a high standard, and ensuring all work complies with current Gas Safe regulations. We look for someone who takes pride in fixing problems properly, not simply replacing parts. We value engineers who enjoy fault finding, think logically and genuinely care about providing the best solution for the customer. You will use our tablet‑based job management system to complete certificates, reports and customer documentation while providing the high level of service Gascare is known for.
As our air conditioning division (Gascair) continues to expand, engineers with F‑Gas qualifications will have the opportunity to undertake air conditioning installation and servicing work. An F‑Gas qualification is highly desirable but not essential, as we are happy to invest in the right person who is keen to develop their skills.
What we’re looking for:
- Current ACS Gas qualifications and Gas Safe registered (or eligible for registration)
- Experience servicing, repairing and installing domestic gas boilers and heating systems
- Excellent fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of central heating controls and system operation
- Experience carrying out boiler breakdowns, servicing and installations
- Professional, friendly manner with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently while also supporting the wider team
- Comfortable using tablets and digital job management systems
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential):
- F‑Gas Category 1 qualification
- Experience installing and servicing split air conditioning systems
- Unvented Hot Water (G3) qualification
What we offer:
- Competitive salary (depending on experience)
- Company van (fully stocked where possible)
- Fuel card
- Company tablet and mobile phone
- Company pension
- Uniform and PPE provided
- Ongoing manufacturer and industry training
- Opportunity to gain additional qualifications, including air conditioning training
- A friendly, supportive team environment
- Long‑term career prospects within a growing company
