As a Senior Project Manager, you'll provide programme leadership across complex design, development and certification projects, working closely with engineering teams, customers, suppliers and regulatory authorities. This position offers significant responsibility, visibility and the opportunity to influence strategic business objectives.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Leading complex aerospace programmes and multiple concurrent aircraft-related engineering projects, ensuring delivery against scope, budget, schedule and risk.
  • Managing relationships with OEMs, major suppliers, customers and certification authorities to support successful programme delivery.
  • Chairing programme boards, driving governance activities and providing project reporting to senior leadership teams.
  • Mentoring Project Managers, leading cross-functional engineering teams and resolving strategic project challenges.
  • Overseeing certification activities, regulatory submissions, major test programmes and high-level risk mitigation plans.

This role offers the opportunity to lead programmes from concept through to certification while working at the forefront of aerospace engineering and product development.

Key Requirements

  • 10 years' experience leading complex aerospace programmes with increasing levels of responsibility, or equivalent experience within a highly regulated engineering environment.
  • A technical degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience delivering complex engineering, design, development or product change programmes.
  • Strong programme governance, financial accountability and stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience working within regulated environments, ideally aerospace, including exposure to certification or compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
  • UK nationality due to programme security requirements.
  • Ability to commute to Fareham four days per week and live within approximately one hour of site.
