About Gas Flare Ltd
We are a well-established training company in the gas industry, known for our friendly training environment and customer service. We are looking for a Centre Co-ordinator to join our small team with a responsibility for keeping the office and training centre running smoothly, supporting trainers, managing candidate booking and liaising with awarding bodies.
Duties and responsibilities
- Daily administration of the training centre
- Act as the primary contact for customers, dealing with enquiries and organising course bookings
- Liaising with Industry Awarding Bodies and implementing all safety or training updates received from those Bodies.
- Maintaining candidate records, certificates and compliance paperwork
- Supporting trainers and assessors to include organisation of course scheduling
- Using internal/external IT systems, including invoicing (using Quickbooks accounts package for which training will be given if necessary), payments and general office administration.
- Ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day centre operations
- Monitoring and updating company website
- Invigilation duties (as cover when required)
Experience and qualifications
- A highly organised and reliable individual
- IT literate and confident with Microsoft Office systems (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
- Experienced in administration/office management
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional telephone manner and the ability to communicate effectively with external organisations
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when implementing updates received from the Awarding Bodies.
- Friendly, positive and solution-focused
As part of a small team, the job holder will be expected to have a good deal of flexibility towards their workload and be able to manage their working day with little input from Management. The Centre Co-ordinator position offers a wide variety of duties – no two days are the same! Whilst on the job training will be given, the position is pivotal to the smooth running of Gas Flare Ltd. The job holder will need a high level of competence in all areas and it is essential that they are able to organise their own workload to ensure the smooth operation of the Training Unit and Courses. Whilst formal qualifications would be an advantage, the main criteria for this role is to be able to work within a small team. It is important that the successful applicant has the wide experience and flexibility to enable them to efficiently manage their own workload.
