We are looking for an experienced and motivated *Gas & Heating Engineer* to join our team, carrying out domestic heating work on behalf of a domestic home insurance provider.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem-solving and delivering excellent customer service.
*The Role*
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out domestic boiler servicing, repairs and fault finding.
- Diagnosing and resolving central heating and hot water issues.
- Attending customers' homes to investigate and repair heating faults.
- Completing work in accordance with current gas safety regulations and industry standards.
- Providing excellent customer service and communicating professionally with customers.
- Completing job reports, safety documentation and other required paperwork accurately, using tablet and apps
- Managing appointments efficiently and working independently to deliver a high standard of workmanship.
- Representing the company professionally at all times.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- *A minimum of 3 years' experience* as a Gas & Heating Engineer.
- Full, up-to-date ACS gas qualifications.
- A full, valid UK driving licence.
- Experience working with domestic gas appliances and central heating systems.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- F-Gas qualification.
- Experience installing, servicing and repairing air conditioning systems.
- Experience working for domestic insurance providers or in a reactive maintenance environment.
- Additional plumbing and heating experience.
