Location: Barking, with homeworking and court attendance as required.

Gary Jacobs & Co Ltd is seeking an experienced and dedicated Family Solicitor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident practitioner looking for a flexible role that combines homeworking, office attendance in Barking, and advocacy at local courts where required.

This is a full-time Legal Aid family law position, suited to a solicitor who can independently manage a caseload of complex public law children matters, including care proceedings, Special Guardianship Orders, and adoption work. The successful candidate will represent parents, children, and professional guardians, and will be confident in undertaking their own advocacy.

We offer a competitive salary package based on experience, together with a bonus structure through a fee share arrangement.

Key requirements
  • 1-3 years' post-qualification experience in Legal Aid Family Law
  • Children Panel membership or evidence to show working towards qualification
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of childcare law
  • Proven advocacy experience and confidence in conducting your own advocacy
  • A commitment to delivering high standards of client care
