Smith Bullough manufactures special industrial fasteners, sold to prestigious customers in the domestic and international markets. Our integrated computer system drives all the business disciplines, from sales to quality, production, logistics, finance, and sales. Our unique manufacturing capability enables us to induction heat and forge or CNC machine the non-standard parts. Other operations include thread rolling, grinding, milling & broaching. Heat treatment and protective surface coatings ensure the fasteners can withstand the harshest weather conditions. We are an IS0 9001 quality accredited engineering company, using state-of-the-art optical measuring to ensure that the parts are produced to close tolerances.

Description

  • Communicating with customers via calls and emails
  • Prospecting for new business
  • Preparing sales quotes and purchasing of stock
  • Chasing up purchase orders and quotes
  • Business Development by seeking out new opportunities
  • Updating Social Media Accounts, promoting new products, taking pictures and sending out news updates
  • Visiting external customers with the Sales Managers to promote products
  • Inputting data onto company CRM system

Requirements

  • A good telephone manner and offer excellent customer service
  • Some experience working in a business environment is preferred but not essential
  • Good communicator strong in sales negotiations
  • Self-motivated to find new business
  • Enthusiastic

Educational Requirements

  • GCSE 9-3 or A-D in maths and English

Additional Info

  • All PPE including work boots will be provided when training takes place/product knowledge training
  • 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Parking is available on site
