About the Role
Gartner is recruiting a Sales Coordinator within its Global Technology Sales Organization. The role supports the regional VP and sales leaders across Johannesburg and Cape Town teams.
Key Responsibilities
- VP Support: manage the VP’s calendar, organize ops reviews, weekly meetings, book meeting rooms, and coordinate quarterly ops across teams.
- Data collation: extract data from dashboards for weekly sales meetings and monthly townhalls.
- Operational support: stay updated on MS Teams / Webex enhancements, assist team meetings and client events, leverage technology for virtual/live meetings, and use Gartner-approved presentation tools.
- Communication: establish effective contact with sales teams, supply admin tools, liaise with Facilities for office space, and maintain a current stock of marketing materials.
- Financial oversight: ensure expenditures follow company guidelines, process requisitions and invoices within budget, and strive for cost‑effectiveness.
- Sales support: monitor lead action rates (AE and SM level), report to SM’s/VP’s, follow up on unactioned leads, and support execution of Quarterly Sales Campaigns, ensuring timely PO collection and lifecycle activities are tracked.
- Marketing: attend monthly marketing meetings, inform sales of virtual events, schedule placeholders, update registrations, and produce a monthly newsletter.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience supporting a Sales organization.
- Superior Excel skills (macros, formulas, pivots) and ability to use data to inform decisions; solid PowerPoint skills.
- Effective problem‑solving, time‑management and organizational skills.
- Goal‑oriented mindset and drive to achieve objectives.
- Ability to build credibility and relationships with senior professionals.
