About this role: Are you intellectually curious and motivated by ideas? Do you want to create research products that are widely used by executive leaders worldwide? Gartner is searching for a Program Manager to join our Research Architecture and Methodologies team. This opportunity gives associates exposure to the full range of leadership-level strategic and management topics. This role will be working with the Research Transformation team and will help leaders in executing critical innovation initiatives such as revamping Gartner market coverage and innovating its data collection methods via an online portal. These initiatives help Gartner create rapid, high-value client research and insights. Associates must be intellectually curious and have the desire to quickly develop “generalist” knowledge. The role is a key feeder to careers reaching the highest levels of the firm.

What you will do:

  • Learn, execute, and document defined processes around Research initiatives like revamping market coverage.
  • Interview Magic Quadrant, Critical Capabilities, Market Guides, and other content type authors for common questions/challenges.
  • Document data used (what data and how) to support vendor/product evaluation research (other than Magic Quadrant and Critical Capabilities).
  • Eavesdrop on new processes as we pilot them, and create documentation e.g., accessing vendor portal, streamline existing content creation process, produce new content types that support the buying journey.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Gartner's content portfolio, and how each content type addresses key challenges.
  • Embrace and drive continuous process improvements, knowledge sharing, and best practices within the team and cross-team collaboration with Research Architecture and Methodologies teams.
  • Contribute to the creation and communication of guidelines and training to engage and enroll key stakeholders in change management initiatives.
  • Analyze large data sets to identify patterns and generate actionable insights.
  • Closely collaborate with peers and senior stakeholders in India, the US, and UK as a part of global research initiatives.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 4+ years' experience supporting content, strategy, or product strategy and programs within a large, complex global organization.
  • Ability to independently work on a variety of tasks, juggle multiple projects, and problem-solve hindrances to execute to completion.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to communicate quantitative insights succinctly.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple senior stakeholders, spread across geographies to drive projects.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to organize information logically.
  • Proven competence for meeting deadlines, multi-tasking, and managing work under ambiguity/uncertainty (e.g., changing factors, limited information).
  • Good knowledge across disciplines within the IT industry, vertical markets, major vendors, products, or solutions.
  • Aspiration to constantly learn and improve.
