About the role: Gartner analysts are industry thought leaders who create must-have research and provide advice to a broad range of world-leading organizations. A Senior director possesses a keen eye for identifying gaps, problems and solutions within the market they serve, and help clients make better decisions relative to their highest business priorities. As an analyst, you will bring Gartner's research, best practices, and tools to life across a broad range of world-class clients. Your focus will be on both the pragmatic research that assists a client in solving today's problems, and provocative research that challenges a client's assumptions on how the future will play out. Key areas of coverage will be on emerging technologies that enable Infrastructure & Operations organizations to innovate and lay the foundation for continued success and growth. Knowledge of SASE, SSE, Zero Trust and data center networking is important. You will apply your broad knowledge of technologies, vendors, processes, and best practices to provide actionable insights to our clients.
What you will do:
- Research, analyze and predict market trends and shifts to provide end-user organizations and vendors with actionable insights.
- Remain ahead of developments and issues within the specified areas as well as applicable adjacent areas of emerging technologies.
- Collaboratively write and publish analysis and positions at a regular cadence through evidence-based research.
- Communicate complex concepts concisely and with authority via virtual or face-to-face interactions with senior-level executives.
- Present at multiple conferences as an industry expert.
- Partner with sales and service delivery partners to increase account growth, retention, and engagement.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of experience in related field or industry with a focus on the design and implementation of infrastructure security with forward-leaning end-user organizations
- Ability to formulate and articulate technology and business adoption scenarios that help senior IT leaders articulate opportunities, risk, and approaches for existing and Emerging security and networking technologies
- Strong working knowledge of emerging security models including SASE, SSE and Zero Trust and experience in design and optimization of secure data networking
- Knowledge of major security infrastructure and services offerings of US-based and international service providers, along with emerging vendors and technologies

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 143,200 CAD - 161,100 CAD. Actual salaries may vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees may participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
