Gartner Consulting is looking for an Expert Partner to develop client relationships, lead client engagements, build strong teams, and help grow our Security Capabilities.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Thought Leadership: Build a reputation with clients and within Gartner for deep domain / industry expertise (e.g., security domains including IAM, SOC, Cloud Security, DevSecOps, Network Security, Cyber, emerging technologies, key digital and IT buying trends, Customer Experience). Position yourself as a recognised Thought Leader. Develop repeatable, globally consistent practice area collateral, offerings, and supporting materials with Practice and Industry Leads. Drive development of assets (tools, accelerators, playbooks). Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of complex market data sets, primary research and competitive landscapes.
  • Client Leadership: Drive client solutioning in sales pursuits in the practice area working closely with our largest accounts. Understand the business challenge and what the client wants to achieve. Formulate the solution based on expertise in practice area and capabilities. Identify the value proposition and differentiators for the offerings. Develop the storyline that represents all our capabilities to address the client’s problem. Drive high client satisfaction through exceptional quality delivery and strong relationships.
  • Business Building: Drive achievement of the individual and practice’s financial objectives, and contribute to overall Gartner Consulting’s financial success. Proactively package, position, sell and deliver Security Transformation solutions to our clients.
  • People Leadership: Build a high-performing team with requisite skill set to sell and deliver Digital Business and Market Strategies. Lead and mentor associates to build a scaled capability. Develop training content for associates to increase knowledge of offerings and delivery toolkits. Support the Practice team's performance, setting clear goals and objectives and establishing metrics. Partner with Industry and Region Leads to develop talent strategy—capacity planning, hiring, and talent management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree highly preferred.
  • Demonstrable deep expertise and practical design experience in at least one or more of the following security domains: IAM, SOC, Cloud Security, DevSecOps, Network Security.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence C‑suite stakeholders in a Strategy Consulting context.
  • Subject matter expertise in Security with a deep understanding of usage in enterprise & government contexts, and knowledge of technology market and applicable regulations.
  • Comfortable in designing future state architectures, developing financial models for those architectures and conducting detailed options analysis to support business cases.
  • Strong business and financial acumen as well as analytical skills.
  • Track record in achieving/exceeding revenue targets.
  • Previous experience working with public sector clients.
  • Familiarity with architecture best practice and frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA, etc.
