We are supporting Bracknell Forest schools to recruit volunteer School Governors.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play a strategic role in supporting schools and improving outcomes for children and young people in your community.

About the Role
School Governors work with the Headteacher and governing board to:

Support school improvement and monitor performance

Hold leaders to account

Oversee effective use of resources

Promote pupil wellbeing, safety and inclusion

Engage with parents, staff and the wider community

You may also take part in committees, panels, working groups and school visits.

About You
We are looking for people who:

Care about children and education

Want to make a difference locally

Can support and challenge effectively

Work well as part of a team

Can commit time to meetings and preparation

No prior experience is needed—full training will be provided.
