We are seeking to appoint a reliable, efficient and enthusiastic person to the role of Higher Level Teaching Assistant to tutor EAL students. We are looking to appoint on a part-time basis with hours to be worked over 3 days a week. Whilst this is a fixed-term position until the end of the academic year in July 2026, there is a possibility of an extension.

The role involves working with pupils who have English as an additional language (EAL), supporting their development of language so that they are able to access learning, progress and achieve success. This involves planning, preparing and delivering learning to individuals and small groups.

The successful candidate will be educated to Level 3 (two GCE ‘A’ Level passes) and possess Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics (GCSE Grade C or higher or equivalent). Prospective candidates are advised to study the person specification and job description for this post carefully.
