The Pines School is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Teaching Assistant with SEND/SALT experience and a Level 3 qualification to join our friendly hardworking team. You will mainly run speech and language interventions directed by our SENCO, with some class‑based work. The role requires training and support from class staff and the leadership team. The successful candidate will work with primary‑aged children, bringing a sense of humour, boundless energy and a commitment to supporting pupils’ learning.
Responsibilities
- Run specific speech and language interventions for children with SEND and/or speech and language difficulties, under the guidance of the SENCO.
- Provide tailored support to ensure pupils access the curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with other staff and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
- Maintain calm, patient, and kind interactions with pupils.
- Contribute as an active team member.
Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., ELT, SEN).
- Experience working with children with SEND and speech and language difficulties.
- Ability to work under guidance and adapt to new tasks.
- Calm, patient, caring, and enthusiastic.

Working Hours
8:30 am – 3:30 pm, 32.5 hours per week, term time with 3 days off.
