Contract: Permanent

Working Pattern: Term Time/Full Time

Hours: Full time – 08:45 – 15:15.

We require an enthusiastic, patient and kind Teaching Assistant who holds an ELSA qualification. Applications will be considered upon receipt.

Salary: BFC BG-K - Scale 6

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant with passion and empathy for working with children who require support with their social, emotional, and mental health and a nurturing approach to support children to engage in learning. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of working with children with SEND, to make a genuine difference and be part of shaping lives within our community.

Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team to deliver a trauma and attachment-informed approach, our strong SLT and Inclusion Team will support the successful candidate and training will be provided if required. Our dedicated team of teachers and inclusion staff work closely together across the school to ensure that every child enjoys learning and maximises their potential.

Applicants will need to have excellent people skills and a warm and caring personality. The ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents / carers and other staff is important. Positions are available for level 2 and 3 trained practitioners.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Highly motivated, creative and resourceful, with a deep commitment to supporting individuals who have social, emotional, and mental health issues
  • Experienced in supporting young people with complex emotional and developmental needs and be confident with de-escalation strategies
  • Passionate about education and committed to delivering a trauma-informed approach with strong relationships at the heart
