Are you a skilled and driven Junior or Senior Quantity Surveyor ready for your next opportunity? We’re looking for a dedicated professional to join our growing team at Gartell & Son Ltd. This is a full-time, office-based role located in Yenston, Somerset.
About us: Gartell & Son is a family-run construction company specialising in high-quality groundworks, earthworks, and civil engineering for commercial and agricultural projects. We are expanding our team and are seeking a motivated and experienced QS to join our team!
Key responsibilities:
- Cost estimating, budgets, and cost-to-complete
- Producing Bills of Quantities (BoQs) in accordance with industry standards
- Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Assist in cost estimates and tender submissions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and the wider team
Requirements:
- Valid and clean driving licence
- Must be 18 years or older
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and general IT tools
- Groundworks experience in industrial/commercial groundworks and civil engineering, specifically on projects ranging from £150K to £3m
