Garson Farm, Esher is seeking an experienced and motivated Farm Manager to lead the operations of our award-winning Pick Your Own farm. This role is an opportunity to manage a diverse and fast‑paced farming operation, overseeing the planning and production of crops while delivering an outstanding experience for our visitors.

What does the role involve? As Farm Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our renowned Pick Your Own offering. You will be responsible for the full scope of farm operations, ensuring the successful growth, harvest and presentation of a wide variety of crops.

Responsibilities:
  • Planning and production of over 30 fruit, vegetable and flower crops, exclusively for retail via Pick Your Own and to supply our own Farm Shop and Restaurant.
  • Maintenance of the farm estate, machinery and workshop facilities.
  • Recruitment to include pesticides, fertilisers, packaging (for PYO retail) and plants.
  • To be commercially aware and technically competent, exploiting opportunities to improve profitability and reduce costs.
  • Being attentive to the needs of the customer and encouraging return visits acting on feedback for continual improvement.
  • Looking ahead to future retail and horticultural trends, planning on a strategic level longer-term.
What skills and experience do you need?
  • Excellent horticultural knowledge and directly relevant experience.
  • Retail management experience within a busy environment.
  • Excellent people skills with a proven track record of people management and team leadership.

Contract: This is a full‑time role, including weekend work during the summer season.

Location: This role is based at Garsons Esher, Surrey.

Salary: From £46,836 to £55,920 per annum (subject to skills and experience).
