As our school continues to grow, we are seeking to strengthen our mainstream provision by appointing a dedicated Teaching Assistant who shares our passion for high-quality education and inclusive practice.

The Role

We are looking for several caring, skilled, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants Level 2 each of whom will also undertake 5 hours per week of TA1 Welfare duties. This combined role ensures continuity of care for pupils throughout the school day and supports the wider pastoral needs of our school community.

TA2 Classroom Support (25 hours per week)

The successful candidates will work closely with class teachers to deliver high-quality support, promote independence, and help create a positive, engaging learning environment for all pupils. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils within the classroom to access learning effectively.
  • Working with individuals and small groups to deliver targeted interventions.
  • Assisting teachers in planning, adapting, and delivering learning activities.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including those with mild to moderate SEND.
  • Helping to create an inclusive, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Contributing to assessments, observations, and progress monitoring.

TA1 Welfare Duties (5 hours per week)

These duties will take place during lunchtime and include:

  • Supervising pupils during lunch and play.
  • Supporting positive behaviour and social interaction.
  • Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all pupils.
  • Assisting with basic first aid (training provided if required).
  • Helping to maintain a calm, positive, and orderly environment.
