We are seeking a positive and flexible Food Technician to support our Food Studies curriculum across Key Stages 3–5. The role involves preparing materials and equipment for practical lessons, maintaining a safe and organised learning environment, supporting students during cooking activities and contributing to the smooth running of the department.
Responsibilities- Prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons.

- Experience in catering, food preparation or education support.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to build positive relationships with young people.
- Experience working with students with SEND is advantageous, though training and support will be provided.
- Comprehensive training programme, including trauma‑informed crisis prevention training CPI.
- 30 minutes Administration & Development time each day.
- Supportive team environment and access to our Employee Assistance Programme.

Garratt Park School is a special school for children and young people aged 11-19 who have moderate learning difficulties, along with other special needs disabilities including Autism, SCLN, sensory impairments and a small number with more complex needs.
