Responsibilities

  • Prepares food for patients, employees, visitors, and hospital functions, ensuring consistent quality.
  • Maintains sanitation and safety standards, manages patient meal preferences, and handles meal delivery and retrieval.
  • Performs opening and closing procedures, including cash controls.

The salary range is $22.83-$23.52 hourly. Compensation details will be discussed during the application process.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate from a technical school in food preparation preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospital environment required.
  • Serv Safe Certification (FPMCE) required within 90 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

  • Extensive standing, walking, and physical movements including kneeling, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push over 75 pounds.
  • Travel between Harris and Callicoon campuses as needed.

Working Conditions

  • Works in a clean, well-lit environment with occasional outdoor work.
  • Exposure to odors, chemicals, and other hazards may occur.
  • Requires physical and mental stamina, critical thinking, and flexibility.
  • May require irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
