The Role

We are seeking a hands-on, commercially focused Finance Director to lead the day-to-day finance function across both Garner Osborne Circuits and Active PCB. Reporting to the Group CFO, you will take full ownership of financial operations across the group’s operational businesses, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting, and strong commercial insight. This is a senior leadership role, with future succession in mind, with responsibility for ensuring both businesses operate with financial discipline, consistency, and performance focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial operations across both businesses, including group consolidation and reporting
  • Deliver accurate and timely management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
  • Manage working capital, cashflow, and bank covenant compliance
  • Oversee audit, VAT, tax, and statutory obligations for the group
  • Strengthen financial controls and improve processes across both entities
  • Provide commercial insight to drive margin improvement and performance
  • Lead, develop, and support the finance team across both sites
  • Support the Group CFO with strategy, operational matters, and M&A activity

About You

Essential:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Strong experience within UK manufacturing environments
  • Proven leadership across multi-entity or group finance functions
  • Strong technical and commercial finance capability

Desirable:

  • Electronics or PCB manufacturing experience
  • Experience of regulated environments (ISO, AS9100)
  • ERP systems experience
  • M&A exposure
