Highly regarded international asset management firm based in the West End to recruit a Legal counsel.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor to gain broad exposure to the legal and commercial operations of an international investment business.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will support the management company and wider group on a varied range of legal matters. The role offers the opportunity to develop a broad commercial skill set, take ownership of your work and gain valuable exposure to the day-to-day operations of a sophisticated financial services business.
Key responsibilities :
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial contracts and service agreements.
- Supporting corporate governance, company secretarial matters and group entity management.
- Advising on supplier relationships, procurement and vendor management.
- Assisting with employment-related matters and employee incentive arrangements.
- Supporting regulatory and FCA-related matters.
- Advising on data protection, cybersecurity and emerging AI governance issues.
- Providing practical, commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders.
- Supporting the development of legal processes, templates and operational efficiencies.
Candidate Profile :
- Newly qualified solicitor or a lawyer with up to three years of post-qualification experience. Paralegals who have qualified or are completing qualification (for example via the SQE) will also be considered.
- Experience in commercial contracts, corporate and commercial law, or a broad advisory practice.
- Training or experience at a recognised UK law firm or within an in-house legal team.
- Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
- Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable working with stakeholders across the business.
- An interest in financial services, private credit or asset management would be advantageous.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
