As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled Gold Card Electrician / Generator & Solar Field Engineer to join our Field Maintenance Services team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrician who enjoys a varied role, combining electrical testing and inspection, fault finding, generator maintenance, and renewable energy systems. You'll work across customer sites throughout the UK, helping keep critical equipment running safely and efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing
- As part of our specialist field engineering team, you'll be responsible for:
- Carrying out electrical inspections, testing, and fault diagnosis
- Repairing and maintaining electrical installations and equipment
- Servicing, commissioning, and repairing petrol and diesel generators (2kVA - 20kVA)
- Conducting generator load testing and performance checks
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar-powered systems
- Completing certification and documentation to industry standards
- Ensuring compliance with BS7671 and health & safety regulations
- Delivering excellent customer service while working at customer sites
- Supporting both depot-based and field-based operations
What We're Looking For
Essential
- JIB Gold Card Electrician
- Level 3 Electrical Qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Testing & Inspection Qualification (2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent)
- Proven electrical fault-finding and repair experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable (Training Available)
- Generator maintenance experience
- Solar PV knowledge
- Engine diagnostics and mechanical repair experience
- Generator load bank testing
- IPAF and PASMA certifications
- ECS Health & Safety Assessment
