The hotel is the hub of the community for all family occasions and consists of a restaurant, bar and a function suite for 180 pax alongside 3 private dining rooms. We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager; the ideal person will come from a hotel background. They will be an energetic multitasker who leads from the front to maintain a smooth hotel operation. They will have demonstrated in previous roles an eye for detail, an ability to lead a team as well as a sound business understanding.

The Role: As Deputy Manager, your role will predominantly be about supporting the General Manager in all aspects of the management of the hotel, customer service, guest relations and creating positive guest experiences. Responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting and developing a team that delivers excellent service
  • Managing the team effectively and enforcing company policies
  • Being actively involved in the day-to-day tasks of the team
  • Following all food safety, licensing and health and safety policies to work safely

The Person: The ideal candidate will have some of the following:

  • Hotel experience at assistant manager level
  • Leadership skills and enjoy working as part of a team in a social environment
  • An ability to communicate effectively
  • Availability to work shifts, including evenings and weekends as per hotel requirement
  • An ability to multi-task
