Your Role:

As the Claims Manager, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end management of our claims function. You will be responsible for leading the team, driving operational performance, and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused service. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, critical to the ongoing development and success of the function.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the overall performance of the claims function, including people, processes, and systems.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the claims team to ensure high standards of service, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Own and refine claims strategies, policies, and procedures in line with business goals and best practice.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex or high-value cases, providing oversight and decision-making support.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, customer service, finance, and external partners to ensure effective end-to-end case management.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, trends, and risk indicators to support informed decision-making.
  • Champion continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, automation, and customer outcomes.
  • Ensure all claims are handled in line with company procedures, policy terms, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a strong focus on fairness and consistency.
  • Lead internal audits and support external reviews by preparing documentation, addressing findings, and implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a positive outcome while adhering to service standards.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a claims, operations, or service delivery management role (industry background not essential).
  • Strong leadership capability, with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Solid understanding of operational workflows, compliance, and risk management principles.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a commercial and customer-focused mindset.
  • Confident communicator, able to influence and collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Highly organised, results-driven, and adaptable, with a proactive approach to change and improvement.
