We are looking for an experienced Senior Team Leader to join our manufacturing team at our Derby site.
Monday - Thursday: 6.00am - 18.00pm
Salary £50,000 to £54,000 per annum, depending on experience

Purpose of role and key accountabilities:
- Being 'hands on' supporting the Production Manager in the efficient running of the area, being the first point of contact and helping with communication throughout the Production process to ensure that quality goods are delivered to our customers on time.
- Leading the designated teams in meeting and exceeding customer requirements on quality, cost and delivery.
- Support, develop and promote improvement activities to products and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure daily hours are achieved and that late to start and late to end is in line with company targets.
- Work within cross‑functional teams to support business development, growth and improvement projects as required, and lead the facility in meeting and exceeding customer requirements - 99% OTIF.
- Manage effective handover between shifts using the SQCDP framework and co‑ordinate the team's production activities to ensure that agreed targets are achieved and to escape to manager any areas of concern which cannot be resolved locally within the area.
- Work in conjunction with the wider site team to reduce the number of accidents, near misses and environmental hazards utilising 6S principles managing HS&E proactively and effectively.
- Support legislative site audits and site action plans to drive improved safety standards and continuous improvement performance throughout the business.
- Be accountable for the appropriate management of the teams/individual's development/performance/conduct/absence in a timely manner with a consistent approach.
- Maintain systems relating to responsible areas and teams.
- Work to ISO 50001/14001/45001/9001 standards.
- Commitment to continual improvement in manufacturing, quality, health, safety environmental, energy and sustainability management.
- Support the Energy team and consider energy reduction and savings within the scope of your role leading to continuous improvement.

Measurable performance indicators/objectives of role:
- Achievement of team targets to required standard (i.e. quality, cost, delivery).
- Ensuring team members are trained and flexible in order to respond to customer requirements, managing resource.
- Maintenance of health and safety/housekeeping standards within the team to required standard.
- Successful implementation of continuous improvement plans (i.e. cost reduction, improvements to productivity, quality, health and safety).
- Contractually agreed customer satisfaction measures relating to product quality, cost and delivery responsiveness targets.
- PDR process to be completed annually alongside any actions that arise.
- Regular updates of the training / skills matrix.
- RTW process to be followed.
- Daily checks on TPM board need to be maintained.
- People management in line with processes in a consistent and timely manner.
