We are currently recruiting for a Shift Supervisor to join our manufacturing team at our Consett site.

Working Hours: 40.25 hours / 4 day rolling Shift Pattern, 4 on 4 off. Days 6:00am - 18:00pm / Nights 18:00pm - 06:00am

Purpose of role: Being hands on supporting the Machine Shop Manager in efficient running of the area, being the first point of contact and helping with communication throughout the Production process to ensure that quality goods are delivered to our customers on time. Leading the team. Support, develop and promote improvement activities to products and manufacturing processes. To manage effective handover between shifts using the SQCDP framework.

Key responsibilities and duties of role:

  • To demonstrate the ability to give and receive constructive feedback and assist in facilitating solutions; turning problems into opportunities to support continuous improvement.
  • To consistently demonstrate a structured approach to planning operational requirements to meet agreed customer deadlines.
  • To demonstrate tenacity, when appropriate, in securing a customer deliverable.
