Working Hours

48 hours Monday - Thursday: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm

£15.98 per hour + 9% shift allowance

Purpose of role and key accountabilities

• Provide Quality and Inspection support for both existing and new business opportunities and develop the Right First‑Time philosophy to become a leading supplier of quality components to the aerospace industry.
• Maintain quality control within the manufacturing process, in line with business standards and customer requirements.
• Check and verify the compliance of components produced at all stages of business.
• Identify reoccurring quality issues and communicate them to the Senior Team Leader with recommendations.
• Assist with root cause analysis, using 5 Whys and Ishikawa.
• Identify and report any non‑conformances.
• Support, develop and improve internal department relationships.
• Promote improvement activities that benefit products and inspection processes.
• Work within cross‑functional teams to support business development, growth and improvement projects as required.
• Work to ISO 50001 / 14001 / 45001 / 9001 standards.

Core skills/attributes needed

• Experience in an inspection / manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Technical knowledge & experience within the aerospace sector preferred.
• Competent in using verniers, micrometers, bore micrometers, height gauges, DTI (Digital Test Indicators).
• Experience in a quality control environment preferred.
• Working to ISO 9001 and ISO 5001.
• Experience inspecting machined, fabricated, treated and assembled parts.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision.
• CMM experience advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent IT skills.
