We are looking for a Paint Sprayer on our day shift. 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm (30 minutes unpaid for lunch), Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm β Overtime available β Pension β Holidays β Life Assurance β Long service awards Purpose of role and key accountabilities: As a paint sprayer you should be able to apply wet paint to Aerospace machined and sheet metal Aluminium components. If you are familiar with 2K and 3K paint systems and manually apply them to meet Aircraft specifications this would be an advantage. Training will be given to achieve this standard. You will use a manual spray gun to apply coatings in line with the job\βs instructions. Tasks * Ensure all paint materials are mixed correctly for colour and consistency and recorded for paint traceability in accordance with work instruction sheets * Prepare pre-treated aluminium * Apply primer to work instruction sheets * Apply topcoats to work instruction sheets * Be trained to be able to perform paint thickness and adhesion checks and record information in accordance with British and European Standards * Setting up the spray equipment * Prepare surfaces to be covered * Quality check all finished jobs * Clean and maintain all spray equipment, spray booths and associated equipment. Core skills/attributes needed: * Computer literate * Be able to concentrate to enable quality finish to painted components * Ability to pay attention to detail * Able to apply good practical skills * Ability to follow written instructions * Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team * Able to work safely * Excellent hand-to-eye coordination * Normal colour vision
