We are looking for a NDT Level 2 operator to work in a busy manufacturing environment Working hours Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm, Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm Benifits: - Competitive pay - Shift allowance - Overtime available - Pension - Holidays - Long Service awards Purpose of role and accountabilities: Working as part of the special process team (Treatments, Paint, NDT) this role will require being flexible and supporting all sections. The function of NDT operative will be as cover for holidays and sickness with regular inputs into the area. The NDT Level 2 will be responsible for carrying out Non Destructive Testing (NDT) of parts for the aerospace industry on fabricated, cast, welded and machined components. They will also be required to support in other areas dependent on demand. * Must be disciplined in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) to Level II Aerospace Qualifications. (EN-4179) * X-Ray level 2- NAS410/ EN4179 (Optional) * Experience in fine limit sheet metal work and welded assemblies * Experience in cast and close tolerance machined components * Ability to follow technical drawings and take verbal instructions * Ability to interpret customer procedures and specifications * Ability to check and measure components * Ability to stand/sit for long periods * Must be physically fit to carry out role * Ability to carry out repetitive work * Working to ISO 50001/14001/ 45001/9001 standards Core skills/attributes needed: * Work as part of team to achieve quality and production targets. * Part of the role will consist of Developing and documenting NDT techniques to meet company and customer requirements * The successful candidate will be required to train to the company written practice and Customer specifications
