We are seeking a skilled and motivated Polisher / Fettler to join our busy manufacturing operation at our Derby site. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a high-performance aerospace environment, where quality, precision, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.
Working Hours: 48 hours, Monday – Thursday: 18.00pm – 6:00am

Purpose of role and key accountabilities:
- To carry out deburring/polishing of parts for the aerospace industry in a machine shop environment.
- Removing burrs and sharp edges using files, scrapers and rotary tools.
- Grind/polish materials to drawing requirements using air/hand tools to achieve the required finish.
- Light polishing of various steel and aluminum components.
- Visual inspection of completed products.
- Completing appropriate documentation.
- Working to ISO 50001/14001/45001/9001 standards.
- Support the Energy team and consider energy reduction and savings within the scope of your role leading to continuous improvement.

- Ability to work from a list and take verbal instructions.
- Ability to stand/sit for long periods and be physically fit to carry out role.
- Ability to carry out repetitive work and must have an honest and motivated approach to work undertaken.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be available to work overtime as and when required.
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to work with measuring/inspection equipment.
