We are looking for a Commodity Assistant to support the shared service sourcing team by providing data, reporting, and administrative support across commodity activities. This is an entry-level role designed to build core procurement and supply chain knowledge, with exposure to sourcing processes, supplier management, and systems. The role plays a key part in ensuring accurate data, smooth purchasing processes, and team efficiency. On-the-job training, system exposure, and involvement in sourcing activities will support progression.
Working Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 8.00am – 17.00pm
- Friday: 7.30am – 12.30pm
- Early finish every Friday
Salary £26,000 to £28,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection & Reporting
- Collect and maintain sourcing and supplier data across commodities
- Support preparation of reports (spend, supplier performance, RFQ tracking)
- Ensure data accuracy within internal systems and reporting tools
- Assist in consolidating information for reviews (e.g. QBRs, internal meetings)
- Raise and manage central purchase orders (POs) in line with company processes
- Track PO status and support issue resolution where required
- Ensure correct coding, pricing, and supplier details are applied
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely processing of order
- Support administration of shared service sourcing activities
- Maintain supplier records and documentation within systems
- Assist with user access / security controls in procurement systems where required
- Support process adherence and data governance
- Provide day-to-day support to commodity managers
- Assist with RFQ administration (issuing, tracking responses, basic data collation)
- Support supplier communications and follow-ups
- Help prepare documentation for sourcing and supplier activities
- Support data preparation and validation for new ERP system implementation
- Assist with data migration activities (supplier data, pricing, POs)
- Help test system processes and report issues
- Provide general support to the team during go-live and stabilisation
