Consett | Post NC Operative We are currently recruiting for a Post NC Operative to join our manufacturing team at our Consett site. 💷 £13.68 per hour Plus 23.8% shift premium Working Hours: Average 42.16 hours per week. 12 hours day and night rotation 6.00am to 18.00pm and 18.00pm to 6.00am Benefits: * Pension * 25 days annual leave + 8 statutory holidays (Christmas shutdown) * Long Service awards * Death in Service Purpose of role and accountabilities: * Reporting to the Shift Supervisor the Post NC Operative is responsible for dressing and finishing aircraft parts. * Using pneumatic tooling to deburr and dress * Using hand tools for drilling * Working with a variety of materials, mainly aluminum * Close tolerance work ▪ Maintain and communicating a shift handover * Any other duties within job holders skills remit as requested by Management Core skills/attributes needed: * 2 – 3 years’ experience of working in a similar role (desirable) * Previous experience using a variety of hand and bench tools (essential) * GCSE English and Maths or equivalent (desirable) * HNC / HND / NVQ (or equivalent) in Engineering (desirable) The employee must also strive to support the elements of the SQCDP framework of the wider Gardner business; ➢ Safety: work in line with all accredited company safety standards in order to provide a safe working environment for all ➢ Quality: support the quality accreditations across the business to ensure the delivery of a ‘right first time’ performance ➢ Cost: support the continuous improvements in cost reduction activities across the company in order to deliver increased profitability and value for money to our customers and stakeholders ➢ Delivery: drive improvement in delivery performance to continually exceed customer expectations and targets ➢ People: support organisational capability and influence cultural change by embracing diversity, inclusion, wellbeing and community NOTE: Due to the nature of this role and the security requirements linked to projects with the UK Ministry of Defence, applicants must be eligible for UK Security Clearance
