The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We are currently recruiting for a CNC Machine Miller (Nights) to join our manufacturing team at our Basildon site. This role is ideal for someone who already has some hands-on CNC milling experience and is looking to further develop their skills within a high-quality, precision-driven manufacturing environment.
Salary: £50,000 (including 33% shift allowance)
Working Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 19:30 – 04:30
- Friday: 14:30 – 19:30

Purpose of role and key accountabilities:
- To produce precision components from drawings using CNC machines.
- Produce accurate, high quality components with maximum efficiency.
- Competently set and operate CNC machines.
- Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standard.
- To work on your own initiative and understand all aspects of the manufacturing process.
- Quality check all finished jobs.
- Clean and maintain CNC machine and all associated equipment and machine area.
- Working to ISO 50001/14001/45001/9001 standards.
- Commitment to continual improvement in manufacturing, quality, health, safety environmental, energy and sustainability management.
- As part of your role you will be asked to support the Energy team and consider energy reduction and savings within the scope of your role leading to continuous improvement.
Core skills/attributes needed:
- Fully skilled time served CNC setter/operator (certificates required).
- Experience of milling machines – 3 & 5 Axis.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment.
- Computer literate.
- Be able to concentrate to enable quality finished components.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Able to apply good practical skills.
- Ability to follow written instructions.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Able to work safely.
- Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
- Normal colour vision.
