We are looking for a Fully Skilled Assembler to work in a busy manufacturing environment at our Basildon site.

Salary: £18.59 per hour

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 7.00am – 4.00pm
  • Friday: 7.30am – 12.30pm

Purpose of role and key accountabilities:

To carry out assembly of aircraft components to customer defined specification and standard.

Core skills/attributes needed:

  • Ability to work on assembly of new parts with solid rivets using hand & air riveting tools & other equipment for the purpose required.
  • Visual inspection of completed products
  • Full knowledge and experience of using Vernier’s and other specialist measuring tools
  • Experience of working to adjust sheet metal parts for assembly
  • Current experience of the use of air tools i.e. drills / rivet press / rivet guns
  • Experience of using sealants
  • Engineering background ideally in aerospace industry
  • Experience of reading, interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience of working with a number of different materials and finishes
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • Utilising a range of hand tools
  • Finish precision engineering products
