At Westland Horticulture, we’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to join the team behind Unwins Seeds – a trusted heritage brand that has inspired generations of gardeners across the UK. As part of our award-winning marketing team, you’ll play an important role in bringing products and campaigns to life across the Unwins Seeds portfolio. From supporting new product launches to coordinating retail marketing activity, you’ll gain hands‑on experience across multiple areas of brand and marketing.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns and brand initiatives.
  • Assisting with new product development projects, packaging updates, and product launches.
  • Coordinating artwork, POS materials, catalogues, and promotional assets across retail and trade channels.
  • Working closely with internal teams including Sales, Supply Chain, Technical, and Design to keep projects on track.
  • Analysing market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to help identify opportunities for growth.
  • Helping ensure all brand communications remain engaging, consistent, and aligned to the Unwins identity.

To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:

  • A degree in Marketing, Product Marketing, Business Management, Consumer Behaviour, or a related discipline.
  • Min 1yrs+ previous experience within a Brand, Marketing, Product, FMCG, Retail, or consumer-focused environment would be advantageous.
  • A genuine passion for brands, consumer products, and understanding customer trends and behaviours.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working across different teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to administration and project delivery.
  • Creative thinking and enthusiasm for bringing products and campaigns to life across retail and consumer channels.
  • An interest in product innovation, packaging, retail marketing, and brand development.
  • The ability to thrive within a fast‑paced, collaborative, and commercially driven environment.
