Make your mark as a Senior Geophysicist at Gardline! We are looking for a Senior Geophysicist to undertake and lead the interpretation and processing of shallow geophysical data including the preparation of associated reports and deliverables. Project types range from traditional site survey work to large scale offshore renewable developments, including potential UXO surveys and cable route aspects of large developments. As well as data acquired by our fleet of multi-role survey vessels, we also carry out interpretation and reporting of third-party datasets.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Processing and interpretation of shallow geophysical data
  • Integrate data from a variety of sources including environmental, geotechnical, shallow geophysical and multichannel seismic
  • Compile and check technical geohazard interpretation reports and Client deliverables
  • Provide onshore support for vessel operations
  • Develop and undertake training and development within the department

You can make your mark as a Senior Geophysicist if you have:

  • A minimum of 3 years industry experience
  • Enthusiasm, resourcefulness and personal drive
  • Qualifications to level 6 or above in an earth science related subject
  • Knowledge of geohazard assessments
  • Knowledge of industry software and understanding of coding
  • Good understanding of the marine survey industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team spirit, adaptability and a collaborative work ethic

Extra information: A full drivers’ license would be advantageous. Right to work in the UK. Where you will work: Prospect House, Gapton Hall Industrial Estate, Great Yarmouth as well as the opportunity to work worldwide onboard Gardline vessels for 60 days per year. Fulltime job: The position of Senior Geophysicist is a fulltime role, 37.5 hours per week and whilst offshore you will be working 12 hour shifts.
