This role is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a thriving, multi-disciplinary environment. /p p Working closely with our Senior Quantity Surveyors, you will assist in managing the commercial aspects of various projects across our Civils, Building, and Landscaping divisions. You will play a vital role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standards. /p p br /p p Key Responsibilities /p ul li strong Cost Management: /strong Assist in preparing valuations, cost analyses, and budget forecasts for active projects. /li li strong Subcontractor Management: /strong Help manage subcontractor accounts, from processing payments and variations to assessing final accounts. /li li strong Tendering Estimating: /strong Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, measuring drawings, and compiling bills of quantities. /li li strong Site Measurements: /strong Carry out site visits to measure and value completed works on-site alongside project managers. /li li strong Financial Reporting: /strong Assist in compiling monthly cost-value reconciliations (CVR) and cash flow forecasts. /li li strong Procurement: /strong Help procure materials and subcontractor services, ensuring compliance with budget constraints and project specifications. /li li strong Contract Administration: /strong Gain exposure to and assist with standard contract mechanisms (e.g., NEC or JCT), ensuring all project paperwork is filed accurately. /li /ul p Qualifications Experience /p ul li strong Education: /strong A degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a closely related construction field (or currently studying towards one). /li li strong Experience: /strong Ideally 1–2 years of experience in a similar assistant or trainee surveyor role within a contracting environment (experience in civils, building maintenance, or groundworks is highly advantageous). /li li strong Technical Skills: /strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically advanced Excel).
