We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Evening Shift Manager to join us on a fixed term contract until the end of December, to ensure the smooth running of our warehouse operation on our evening shift. You will help ensure all customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time, while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency and team performance.
What will the role involve?
- Leading and overseeing all evening warehouse operations including picking, packing, dispatch, and stock handling
- Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time to meet service level targets
- Managing shift priorities, allocating workloads, and motivating the team to achieve performance targets
- Train, coach, and support team members through regular one-to-ones, development conversations, and return-to-work meetings
- Promote a safe and compliant working environment, following all health & safety procedures
- Working closely with other departments to ensure a smooth handover between shifts and maintain operational continuity
What we’re looking for?
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, including picking, packing and replenishment
- Previous management or supervisory experience
- Good understanding of warehouse management systems and task management processes (Oracle etc)
- A proactive, hands-on management style with excellent communication and people management skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment
