We’re proud to be award-winning and recognised in the hospitality industry. Bovey Castle has received multiple accolades, and we are looking for a Gardener to join our team at a remote hotel location. Please note: our hotel is in a very remote location and is not accessible by public transport.
As Gardener, you will establish, maintain and manage the gardens to the highest horticultural standards. You will be passionate about delivering the best experience for our visitors and guests and instrumental in the creation and restoration of our outdoor spaces. This role involves great attention to detail, including the use of garden machinery for lawn mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, and flower border care. You will also have responsibility for the pool and spa swimming pool maintenance in the Spa along with keeping the garden equipment in good working order.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of the wider hotel team, in the day to day maintenance and development of the gardens and grounds. You should have RHS level 2 or equivalent with previous experience in a similar role, good plant knowledge and skilled at using and maintaining garden machinery.
