About Gardeners Dream
At Gardeners Dream, we believe everyone deserves a garden they can be proud of. As one of the UK's leading online garden centres, we ship over 2,000 varieties of plants, trees, and gardening essentials directly to customers nationwide. Our mission is to make gardening accessible, inspiring, and successful for everyone.
We recently launched a new website and updated our branding with new websites on the way across various European countries. It's a really exciting time to join the team and own the CRM journey.
The Role
We are looking for a commercially minded and detail-driven CRM Manager to join our growing marketing team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a key role within the business, responsible for shaping and owning our customer lifecycle strategy as we continue to scale.
You will lead all CRM activity across the business, with a strong focus on email marketing through Klaviyo, advanced automation flows, and performance-led segmentation. Working closely with the wider marketing, e-commerce, and leadership teams, you will ensure customers receive timely, relevant, and beautifully designed communications at every stage of their journey.
Design capability is important for this role, and experience designing emails in Figma/Adobe is preferred, enabling you to create well-structured, on-brand templates and collaborate effectively across teams.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys blending strategy, creativity, and data, and who thrives in a fast-paced, seasonal e-commerce environment. Gardening and plant knowledge isnβt required, just a genuine interest and willingness to learn about the products and industry.
Key Responsibilities
- CRM Strategy & Ownership: Develop, own, and evolve the CRM roadmap, aligned with our seasonal trading calendar including peak Spring/Summer and Christmas periods.
- Email Marketing Campaigns: Plan, build, and deliver regular email campaigns that drive engagement, retention, and revenue.
- Automation & Flows: Design, build, and continuously optimise advanced Klaviyo flows including welcome journeys, abandoned browse/cart, post-purchase, replenishment, win-back, loyalty, and review requests.
- Segmentation & Personalisation: Create and maintain advanced customer segments to ensure highly relevant messaging across the customer lifecycle.
- Design & Brand Consistency: Design email layouts (preferably in Figma) and ensure all CRM communications align with Gardeners Dream brand guidelines.
- Performance & Optimisation: Track and report on key CRM metrics including open rates, CTR, conversion, revenue attribution, and customer retention, using insights to inform testing and optimisation.
- Data & Compliance: Maintain best practice CRM data management and ensure all activity is GDPR-compliant.
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years' experience in a CRM, lifecycle, or email marketing role, ideally within e-commerce or retail.
- Platforms: Extensive hands-on experience with Klaviyo, particularly building and optimising complex automated flows.
- Design Skills: Experience designing emails in Figma/Adobe is highly preferred.
- Commercial & Analytical Mindset: Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing, retention strategies, A/B testing, and revenue optimisation.
- Communication: Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone of voice for different audiences.
- Gardening Knowledge: Preferred but not essential - we are just looking for someone excited about learning more about plants and willing to study the topic to feed into our CRM content.
Location & Eligibility: UK resident. Ability to commute to Kilsyth nursery 2 days per week.
Why Join Us?
- Fast-growing business with long-term career development opportunities.
