This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across every aspect of marketing and communications while making a real difference to patients and families across North Hertfordshire and Stevenage.
No two days will be the same. If you're someone who enjoys being creative, loves writing, has a good eye for photography or video, and wants to build a varied portfolio of marketing experience, we'd love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
- Creating engaging content for social media, our website and digital campaigns
- Capturing photographs and video content at events and around the Hospice
- Editing short videos and creating digital content
- Writing stories about our patients, supporters, volunteers and staff
- Supporting PR opportunities and media coverage

- Enjoys creating engaging content for digital platforms
- Has an eye for detail and strong organisational skills
- Is confident using social media
- Can manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
- Enjoys meeting people and telling their stories
- Is willing to learn, take initiative and work as part of a supportive team.
Experience of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing or website content management would be an advantage. This is a part‑time role for 30 hours per week. There will be a requirement to work some evenings and weekends to support events and community activities. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential.
Why join Garden House Hospice Care?
This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience across the full marketing mix in a busy, supportive environment where you’ll see the direct impact of your work every day. You’ll work on meaningful campaigns, attend community events, develop new skills and help raise awareness of the care we provide to local people living with advancing illness. If you’re looking for a role where you can develop, be creative and make a genuine difference, we’d love to hear from you.
