At Garden House Hospice Care, we provide compassionate, specialist care to people with life-limiting illnesses, and support to their families and carers across North Hertfordshire, Stevenage, and surrounding areas.

We are currently entering an exciting new chapter, underpinned by a brand new 10-year organisational strategy. As part of this transformation, we are developing a bold and ambitious 5-year fundraising strategy to ensure we can meet our long-term goals and continue delivering outstanding care.

To support this transition, we are seeking a driven and strategic Interim Head of Fundraising to lead our fundraising function through this pivotal phase.

The role

This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving fundraising performance, managing multi-disciplinary teams, and delivering income across a diverse portfolio including individual giving, legacies, corporate partnerships, community, events, and campaigns.

  • Provide strategic oversight and direction to all fundraising activity
  • Inspire and lead a high-performing team of managers across all income streams
  • Ensure delivery against income targets while supporting the development of a new 5-year fundraising strategy
  • Champion insight-led fundraising and high-quality supporter engagement
  • Contribute to cross-organisational leadership as part of the Hospice Leadership Team.

This role is interim to ensure continuity and leadership while our future fundraising roadmap is shaped and embedded. The post is offered on a fixed-term basis until 31st March 2026.
