Trainee Sales Representative

Are you working in retail sales in a garden centre and looking for an opportunity to move into field sales? If so, this could be the one.

A leading and award winning garden trade supplier is looking for a Trainee Sales Representative, based in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire or North London, who wants to move from retail to field sales.

The role will include

• Being home based with a company car in order to be on the road 4-5 days a week (Monday to Friday)
• Working closely with the National Sales Manager and other Area Sales Managers to learn all aspects of the role
• Meeting existing garden trade customers to maximise sell-through and customer satisfaction
• Visiting new customers to meet buyers and establish their needs and opportunities
• Provide customers with merchandising and staff training support
• Attend trade exhibitions and events

We are looking for:

• Retail experience from a garden centre in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire or North London
• A natural people person with excellent communication skills at all levels
• An ambitious and motivated character who is keen to learn and to prove themselves in this role
• Good levels of numeracy and IT literate.
