The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 Β£ per year.

We are looking for a Plant Advisor with a passion for plants to join the friendly team at our popular, family-run, independent Garden Centre.

Job requirements:

  • To provide advice on plant selection, care and maintenance.
  • Ability to identify plants and diagnose plant problems and suggest solutions.
  • Good knowledge of soil science, plant care, plant nutrition, and pest and disease control.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with our customers in person, by telephone and email.
  • Assisting the plant buyer in buying plants.

As a full-time position (78.5 hours over 14 days, including alternative weekends) the role would also include managing the Garden Centre social media, P.R. and gardening events.

Alternatively, it could be a part time role position (62.5 hours over 14 days, including alternative weekends) without these extra areas.
