Garden Club London is a multi-award-winning garden design and build studio based in Clerkenwell. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Horticulturist to join our growing aftercare and planting team, responsible for the ongoing care and development of the gardens we have designed, built and planted.
Working across a diverse portfolio of projects; from rooftop gardens and urban courtyards to larger residential landscapes, you will play a key role in ensuring each garden continues to thrive and evolve. As a Garden Club London Horticulturist, you will deliver exceptional horticultural standards through proactive, sustainable gardening practices, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine passion for plants.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Horticulturist based in London. The Horticulturist will be responsible for the care and maintenance of gardens, handling planting and irrigation systems. They will ensure that both residential and commercial gardens are nurtured to thrive and meet the high-quality standards expected of Garden Club London. With this being a small team you must be comfortable with lone working as well as team environments.
Qualifications
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Previous experience 2-3 years+ in horticulture
- Excellent knowledge of plant establishment and maintenance including pruning and pest control.
- A passion for learning planting design principles
- Organised and pro‑active with good time‑keeping
- Be competent at administrative tasks associated with the role including taking images, updating the garden log.
- Great communicator who confidently speak to clients and the team
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Have a recognised Horticultural qualification and ideally PA1/PA6a, CSCS Card however training will be given in some areas.
