We are looking for an Average Adjuster to join our Global Adjusting team, based in London. You will have a high degree of autonomy, working across a diverse portfolio of accounts, and working closely with our members and together with Gard's very competent claims teams globally.
Key responsibilities:
- In-house adjusting of marine claims based on a variety of policy conditions.
- Review and approval of adjustments prepared by third party adjusters.
- Close cooperation with colleagues within claims globally and the underwriters of the Member's portfolios.
- Participation in Member meetings, presentations, seminars and market events, as well as industry discussions where appropriate.
- Mentoring and training colleagues to increase their marine claims handling and adjusting capability.
Candidate requirements:
- Around 5 years of Average Adjusting experience.
- Qualified, or studying towards AAA qualification (studies would be supported by Gard).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both colleagues and clients.
- The ability to perform and contribute to a teamāoriented environment.
- Motivation to learn as well as to share knowledge.
- The ability to analyse, structure and organise tasks, and to work independently with a solution and resultāoriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, with written and spoken English being required.
